FreenetTray app crashes on Mac OS X

If you are seeing the FreenetTray app crash or fail to start on OS X, first follow the instructions in Update FreenetTray on Mac OS X to ensure you have the newest version available.

If that does not fix the problem, follow these steps:

  • Type the key combo ⌘-space (command-space) to open Spotlight

  • Type "Terminal" and press enter or double click it:

  • In terminal, run "defaults delete org.freenetproject.mactray" twice, or until you see a "not found" message:

  • Start FreenetTray.app again
